Giving Tuesday: A Bracelet to Support Youth Mental Health
Hudson’s Bay has partnered with WE Charity to raise money for a new mental health initiative.
As the holiday season begins, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to support the causes that matter to you most. The HBC Foundation made a commitment in 2017 to distribute $6 million by 2020 to support mental health services in North America. This Giving Tuesday, we encourage you to support our efforts by purchasing a WE Well-being for Youth Rafiki Bracelet.
$2.50 from the sale of each $5 bracelet goes to support WE Charity’s just-launched WE Well-being initiative. Launching to WE Charity’s established network of 7,000 schools across Canada, the WE Well-being initiative equips teachers with educational curriculum and supporting resources for students that fosters social, emotional, physical and mental well-being inside and outside of the classroom. The initiative aims to empower participants to build safe and caring environments while reducing stigma and other mental health risk factors.
In addition to Hudson’s Bay’s bracelet collaboration with WE Charity, the HBC Foundation will make a donation of $100,000 to WE Charity in support of its WE Well-being initiative.
