Keen to be Green: A new eco shop pops up Hudson’s Bay
The latest Discover This pop-up features eco-friendly fashion and beauty brands.
Landing in select stores this month, The Sustainable Shop, our second in the Discover This series, will pop up at select Hudson’s Bay locations and online (click here to shop). With a roster of nine, new-to-Hudson’s Bay eco-friendly fashion and beauty brands, you’ll be able to add to your closet and skincare routine while going green.
In the beauty category, brands Coola, Uma Oils, Soapply and Knesko will set up shop for a limited time. Look to Coola for highly efficient organic sunscreens and skincare, all full of vitamins and anti-aging antioxidants. Uma Oils is the proprietary label from Uma estates, a brand known for supplying some of the biggest beauty brands with high quality, luxury skin oils. With Soapply, you can update you current hand soaps with an all-natural version that comes housed in a glass bottle with a BPA-free plastic pump—and they smell divine as well! Lastly, Knesko skincare was added to this shop thanks to its gemstone-infused collagen masks for the ultimate in #selfcaresunday time.
Toronto-based KOTN will add some super soft organic cotton men’s and women’s basics to your closet, while also using proceeds from sales to help build schools for less fortunate girls in the Nile Delta. Kent is a lingerie brand from Los Angeles that features natural fabrics in style-focused silhouettes. The label also works closely with The Female Future Project to help empower women and girls in emerging markets. Also supplying some sustainable style to men and women, Naadam is known for their ethically sourced cashmere and sustainable production facilities, as well as their living-wage policy and programs for healthier goats. For accessories, look to Humming Kraft’s backpacks and tote bags, made of high-grade German wood pulp, which is durable and made to look like paper. Also, one tree is planted for each bag purchased, leaving you an extra dose of that feel-good shopping dopamine.
Shop in store at Hudson’s Bay Toronto Yorkdale, Queen Street and Sherway Gardens; Calgary Chinook Centre; and Vancouver Downtown.
