Hudson’s Bay Collaborates with The Kit on The Style Social
The fall fashion-shopping event put the spotlight on female entrepreneurs and this season’s standout styles.
On September 14, Hudson’s Bay Toronto Queen Street co-hosted a shopping event with fashion and beauty magazine The Kit, where scores of customers—there were around 1,500 people in attendance—were treated to refreshments, from Aperol Spritzes to ice cream sandwiches, along with major deals on some of the season’s best items.
The Kit’s fashion editor, Jillian Vieira, choose standout pieces from Ganni, Msgm, Frame, Carven and more as her editor’s picks, which were displayed on a rolling rack next to the editor’s lounge on the third floor. The lounge was outfitted with plush sofas and luxe rugs for a very cozy feel.
Joined by April Brown of Prince Edward County’s The June Motel, Laurie Campbell, the babe who brought Barry’s Bootcamp to Canada and blogger Jodi Blk, Vieira hosted a discussion on female entrepreneurship in today’s ever-changing business and political landscape. Some sage advice was doled out, including how we should learn to embrace our failures, because they can define who we become (thanks for that tidbit, Ms. Blk! We couldn’t agree more.).
The night capped off with a DJ and more shopping throughout our Queen Street store. One lucky winner was also awarded a fabulous mini vacation at The June Motel, a Insta-perfect place to recharge solo or with girlfriends, so you can slay the business game when you get back to the city.
